100% Beeswax Hand Dipped Taper Candles

  • Kenya

Hand dipped one by one in Nanyuki, Kenya, these tapered beeswax candles are crafted by the Laikipia Beekeeping Company, a small workshop at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Made with pure, natural beeswax and cotton wicks, each taper carries a gentle amber glow and burns cleanly and evenly. The scent of sweet honey is present whether the candles are lit or resting on the table. They are free from synthetic additives and toxins, with the naturally longer burn time beeswax is known for.

By tending and supporting beekeeping themselves, the workshop keeps production intentionally small scale and low carbon, with complete traceability from hive to home. This approach helps protect Kenya's forested landscapes and creates meaningful, low impact livelihoods for nearby rural communities. Bees are essential to the local ecosystem, pollinating trees and crops that sustain wildlife and people. Each candle is made with 100% natural beeswax and cotton wicks, both renewable, biodegradable and free from synthetic additives, so the materials are as considered as the process.

About the process

Every Tomorrows product begins with a conversation. Together with our artisan partners, we design and refine pieces that celebrate their traditional skills while meeting contemporary design needs.

Our approach is guided by respect for materials and mindful production. We use locally available, low-impact, and often natural or recycled resources, ensuring that the process leaves as light a footprint as possible. Each item is handcrafted, meaning no two pieces are ever quite the same. This is a reflection of the human touch that defines our work.
